Vadodara: A day after he was reported missing, the body of Vijay Solanki was found in the lift repair room of an apartment building in Atladara on Monday night. Fire brigade officials stated that Solanki likely died from electrocution while repairing the lift.

Solanki, a resident of Madhavnagar Apartments, went missing on Sunday, prompting his family to search for him. On Monday evening, residents of Madhavnagar reported a foul odor emanating from the lift, leading to a call to the fire brigade. Firefighters investigating the source discovered Solanki's body in the lift room located on the terrace of the apartment building.
Nikunj Azad, a fire officer, provided details: "Solanki used to live in the building colony. He may have gone to the lift room to perform some repairs. When we found his body, he had an electric wire in his hand. It appears he was electrocuted." Solanki, in his thirties, was married and the father of two children.
