Noida Administration Mandates Healthcare Camps for Industrial Workers
In a significant move to bolster healthcare accessibility, the Noida district administration has issued directives to private hospitals to organize regular medical camps in industrial areas. This initiative aims to improve medical services for workers, with a focus on utilizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds and expanding coverage under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Enhanced Healthcare Access Through Collaborative Efforts
District Magistrate Medha Roopam emphasized the shared responsibility of providing quality healthcare to workers during a meeting with health officials, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Narendra Kumar and GIMS Director Dr. Rakesh Gupta. Private hospitals have been urged to deploy mobile medical vans and conduct comprehensive health check-ups, including screenings for serious conditions like breast and cervical cancer.
The administration has called for detailed micro-plans from hospitals, coordinated with the health department, to ensure effective implementation. Special facilities for women workers and extended services to construction sites are key components of this directive.
Comprehensive Medical Services and Infrastructure Support
Hospitals are required to include OPD services, eye examinations, and distribution of spectacles in these camps. Additionally, treatment facilitation for conditions such as cataract is mandated. Dr. DK Gupta, Chairman of Felix Hospital, highlighted the hospital's commitment to deploying mobile vans, which will promote early diagnosis and preventive care.
Health department officials have also been instructed to ensure adequate availability of doctors, medicines, and equipment across district hospitals, community health centers, primary health centers, and GIMS. This holistic approach aims to create a robust healthcare ecosystem for industrial workers in Noida.
