Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance healthcare facilities for students, faculty, and staff. The agreement aims to provide comprehensive medical services, including specialized consultations, diagnostic tests, and emergency care, at reduced costs.
Key Provisions of the MoU
Under the MoU, DMCH will offer a range of medical services to PAU's academic community at concessional rates. This includes outpatient and inpatient care, laboratory investigations, and access to advanced medical technologies. Additionally, DMCH will conduct regular health check-up camps on the PAU campus to promote preventive healthcare.
Benefits for Students and Staff
Students will benefit from free annual health check-ups and discounted treatment for chronic conditions. Faculty and staff members are also eligible for subsidized healthcare packages. The collaboration will also facilitate research in agricultural medicine and public health, leveraging the expertise of both institutions.

Future Plans
Both institutions plan to organize joint awareness programs on lifestyle diseases, nutrition, and mental health. They also intend to explore telemedicine services to extend healthcare access to remote areas. The MoU is valid for five years, with provisions for renewal based on mutual consent.
