Patryk Garkowski, widely known by his online alias Łatwogang, has completed a nine-day livestream that raised more than $55 million for children battling cancer. The broadcast has officially become the largest charity livestream in history.
Record-Breaking Fundraiser
The livestream commenced on April 17 with a modest initial goal of a few hundred thousand złoty. However, donations poured in from across the globe, rapidly escalating the total. By the conclusion of the event, over 203 million złoty (approximately $56 million) had been raised, setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest charity livestream fundraiser. This achievement surpassed previous records held by other global creators and events, including the Z Event 2025.
Emotional Highlights and Celebrity Support
The stream featured numerous powerful moments. Notable public figures such as football star Robert Lewandowski, singer Doda, and chef Magda Gessler made appearances, drawing additional attention and boosting donations. In a particularly moving gesture, influencers Kasix and Maffashion shaved their heads live on stream to show solidarity with children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. This act deeply resonated with viewers and spurred further contributions. On the final day, millions of złoty flowed in, reflecting the immense support generated.
Symbolic Song Performance
Another significant highlight was the playback of the song “I’m Still Here,” performed by rapper Bedoes 2115 and 11-year-old Maja, who is battling leukemia. The song became a symbol of hope and courage throughout the stream, reinforcing the event's emotional impact.
Impact and Legacy
The funds raised will be directed to the Cancer Fighters Foundation, which supports seriously ill children. This broadcast demonstrated the power of collective action, transforming a small idea into a world-record-breaking initiative that brought joy and relief to countless children and their families.
