Measures for Public Safety

Authorities have been directed to ensure an adequate supply of Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) packets, drinking water, and an uninterrupted power supply to residents. The Chief Minister also instructed the medical and health department, from primary health centres to district hospitals, to remain on high alert and provide immediate treatment to people suffering from heatstroke and other heat-related ailments.

“Local authorities should set up ‘Chali Vendralu’ (free drinking water centres) in urban areas to provide relief to the public during the summer heat,” added Revanth.

These measures aim to protect the population from the adverse effects of the severe heatwave, which has prompted widespread concern across the state. The government is taking proactive steps to ensure that all necessary resources are available to combat the heat and minimise health risks.
