Tragic Thresher Accident in Sirsa Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Youth
A devastating accident occurred in Sirsa district on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old youth who was pulled into a thresher machine while working in a field. The impact was so severe that his body was torn into pieces, with parts discovered inside the machine and in a nearby pile of straw.
Victim Identified as Anil from Sadewala Village
The deceased has been identified as Anil, a resident of Sadewala village in the Rania area of Sirsa district. He worked as a tractor driver and lived with his elder brother. His mother is employed at a sugar mill in Palwal, and the family originally hails from Dholu village in Fatehabad district.
Details of the Horrific Incident
According to reports, a farmer was threshing mustard crop in the field and briefly left for some work, calling Anil to assist. Upon reaching the spot, Anil reportedly sat on the thresher with his legs dangling. During this time, his leg suddenly got entangled in the chain, and within seconds, the powerful machine pulled him inside.
Eyewitnesses stated that the youth got trapped between the rotating blades, and his leg was severed instantly. The machine continued to operate for a short time, tearing his body into multiple pieces. Workers nearby rushed to stop the machine after hearing unusual noise, but by then, Anil had died on the spot. Some body parts, including an arm and a leg, were later recovered from a straw heap nearby.
Aftermath and Police Response
Locals gathered the remains in a cloth and informed the police. Officers reached the spot, took possession of the body, and initiated further proceedings. The incident has left the village in shock, highlighting the dangers associated with agricultural machinery and the need for enhanced safety measures in rural work environments.
