Prayagraj: Two teenage boys drowned in river Tons at Kotha Ghat under the limits of Shankgarh police station in the trans-Yamuna pocket of Prayagraj district on Sunday.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Kunal Mishra (17) and Vishesh Mishra (16), both residents of Bharat Nagar.
Incident Details
Station house officer (Shankargarh) Sushil Dubey told TOI that both boys had gone to the ghat under the jurisdiction of Chak Ghat police station in Reewa district with their family members. They jumped into the river for swimming and ventured into deep water.

When they began drowning, they raised an alarm. Upon being alerted, a team of Shankargarh police arrived at the spot and managed to recover the bodies with the help of locals and divers.
