AMA Doctors Organize Extensive Free Medical Camp in Prayagraj's Bariari Village

In a significant healthcare initiative, doctors affiliated with the Allahabad Medical Association (AMA) conducted a comprehensive free medical camp on Sunday in the underdeveloped village of Bariari, located near Babuganj Market in Phulpur, Prayagraj. This event was part of the ongoing 'Aao Gaon Chalen' series, aimed at bringing essential medical services to rural communities.

Comprehensive Health Screenings for Hundreds of Patients

The medical team performed thorough examinations for 450 patients, covering a wide range of health parameters. These included critical tests such as hemoglobin level assessments, blood sugar monitoring, and pulmonary function tests (PFT) to evaluate lung capacity. The camp provided villagers with access to diagnostic services that are often unavailable in remote areas.

Distribution of Essential Supplies to Support the Community

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mishra, President of the Allahabad Medical Association, led the distribution of essential items to support the local population. Underprivileged children received free notebooks and pens to aid their education, while rural women were given sarees and men received clothing. This holistic approach addressed both health and basic needs of the community.

Political Support and Future Expansion Plans

It is noteworthy that the AMA's social work campaign recently gained significant political support. On March 29, the association met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who highly praised their efforts and encouraged them to expand their initiatives. The AMA has readily accepted this challenge, demonstrating their commitment to broader healthcare outreach.

Community Appreciation and Continued Cooperation

Subhash Yadav, Principal of Bariari School, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the AMA for conducting the medical camp and undertaking social work in Bariari village and surrounding rural areas. He assured the association of his full cooperation in organizing similar camps in the future, highlighting the positive impact on the local community.

The 'Aao Gaon Chalen' series continues to bridge the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas, with the AMA demonstrating how organized medical professionals can make substantial differences in underserved communities through direct action and comprehensive support services.
