Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced the decision on Friday, stating that the funds will be used to upgrade 20 hospitals with cutting-edge equipment.
Focus on Faster Diagnosis and Improved Surgery
The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure quicker and more accurate diagnosis for patients, which is a critical first step in effective treatment. The investment will also lead to improved outcomes in surgical procedures. The allocated funds will be utilized to procure a range of modern machines, including digital X-ray systems, ECG machines, and ultrasound devices. Furthermore, advanced phaco machines for cataract surgeries will be installed, aiming to enhance eye care services significantly.
"The hospitals are being equipped with modern machines so that patients can receive timely and precise medical care. Accurate diagnosis is the first step towards effective treatment," emphasized Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak.

In a related development, the government has also approved ₹60.18 lakh for administrative and financial support to fully operationalize a newly constructed 50-bed hospital in Mirzapur.
