The deceased has been identified as Anisha, who was admitted to Apurva Hospital on Sunday afternoon for what was supposed to be a routine procedure. According to her husband, Shivanshu Rai, the doctors initially assured a laser-based surgery but instead performed a major abdominal operation. During the surgery, complications arose, leading to excessive bleeding and ultimately Anisha's death.
Shivanshu Rai claimed that when doctors called for backup and suggested transferring his wife to Lucknow, they offered money and an ambulance. When he refused these arrangements, they broke the devastating news of her death. The FIR lodged by police states that the family was charged Rs 1 lakh for the procedure, adding financial exploitation to the tragedy.

Based on Shivanshu Rai's complaint, police have registered an FIR on charges of murder against five doctors: Jyotsana Singh, Apurva Singh, Deepak Singh, Sanjay Singh, and Rohan Gupta. Then on March 13, the bodies of a woman and her newborn twin daughters were found dumped in the toilet of another private hospital located near the CMO office. In this case, the village's ASHA worker had taken the woman to the private hospital instead of proper government healthcare facilities, where the owner's son conducted a C-section with fatal results.
