Tragic Early Morning Bus Crash Claims Two Lives
A devastating road accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the early hours of Friday, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to twelve others. The incident took place near Arandkheda village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Kaithun police station in the Kota district.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The tragedy unfolded around 4:30 am on Friday when a private passenger bus, travelling from Delhi to Indore, collided with an unidentified vehicle. According to Circle Inspector Sandeep Sharma from the Kaithun police station, the bus hit the other vehicle which was running in front of it on the expressway. The driver of the bus, Giriraj Raibari (40), a resident of Mandana village in Kota, and the cleaner, Shyansunder Sain (36) from Kota's Borekheda area, were killed on the spot.
Reports indicate that there were at least 42 passengers on board the bus at the time of the mishap. Following the collision, the injured passengers were promptly rushed to the New Medical College Hospital in Kota for medical attention. Hospital authorities have reported that all the injured individuals are currently under treatment and are out of danger.
Aftermath and Police Investigation
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their respective family members after a post-mortem was conducted on Friday noon. A key challenge for the investigating authorities is that the unidentified vehicle involved in the collision is yet to be traced. The police investigation into the exact cause of the accident is ongoing as they work to locate the other vehicle.
