A 15-year-old Class X student allegedly died by suicide in Lalganj town of Basti on Thursday, just hours before her High School examination results were declared. According to family members, she had been under significant stress regarding her expected performance in the exams.
Family Account
The girl's father, who runs a grocery kiosk, informed that his daughter was academically strong but had been increasingly anxious about her results. Despite her fears of failure, she ultimately secured 63 percent marks. The family is in shock and disbelief over the tragic incident.
Police Investigation
Lalganj Station House Officer (SHO) Chandan stated that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received. Police have initiated an investigation and are probing all possible angles. Preliminary findings suggest that the student took the extreme step due to stress related to her examination results.
