Bhopal Cools Down Under Pre-Monsoon Showers

Bhopal experienced a pleasant respite from the heat on Wednesday as high-velocity winds and pre-monsoon showers swept through the city, resulting in below-normal temperatures. The India Meteorological Department recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below the seasonal average. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature settled at 22.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees lower than usual for this time of year.

Rainfall and Weather Conditions

The city received a total of 14.0 mm of rainfall between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, contributing to the cooler conditions. The weather office has forecast partly cloudy skies accompanied by thunderstorms and rain, along with gusty winds for the upcoming days. However, temperatures are expected to gradually rise again as the pre-monsoon activity subsides.

Outlook for the Coming Days

Residents can anticipate a gradual increase in mercury levels over the next few days, though the immediate forecast suggests continued unsettled weather with occasional thundershowers. The meteorological department advises caution during thunderstorms and gusty winds.
