Surprise Inspection at JP Hospital
Bhopal: Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Bhopal, Dr Manish Sharma conducted an unexpected evening inspection of the outpatient department (OPD) at JP Hospital on Wednesday. According to an official press release, Dr Sharma visited the hospital between 5:15 PM and 5:30 PM, meticulously examining various departments including dentistry, ophthalmology, psychiatry, orthopedics, general medicine, surgery, ENT, and dermatology.
Doctors Found Absent
During the inspection, most doctors were found to be present at their respective posts. However, three doctors—Dr Neelima Soni, Dr Jay Kumar Sahu, and Dr Neelu Gupta—were notably absent. Following the inspection, the CMHO issued show-cause notices to these three doctors for their absence without prior intimation.
Ongoing Vigilance
This surprise visit is part of a series of periodic inspections conducted by the CMHO office in recent days. Notices have also been issued to doctors found absent during previous inspections. An official stated that as a result of these regular checks, the majority of doctors were present during the latest visit, indicating improved compliance. The administration remains committed to ensuring accountability and quality healthcare services at the district hospital.
