Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has granted in-principle approval to establish two new health centres in the Nuh and Mahendergarh districts, according to Health Minister Arti Singh Rao. A sub-health centre will be opened in Khori Kalan village in Nuh district, while a primary health centre (PHC) will be set up in Khatodra village in Mahendergarh district.
Objective of the Initiative
The initiative aims to provide timely healthcare to thousands of rural residents, significantly reducing the need for travel to distant cities. These facilities will offer essential services, including maternal and child healthcare, vaccinations, treatment for common ailments, primary diagnostic testing, and basic medicines.
Government Commitment
Minister Arti Singh Rao emphasised that the state government is prioritising the expansion of medical infrastructure in rural areas to ensure quality healthcare services are accessible near every citizen's home. This expansion is part of a continuous effort to strengthen Haryana's health network through the development of new medical facilities across the state.
The approval marks another step in Haryana's ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access for its rural population, addressing long-standing gaps in medical services in underserved regions.
