A 50-bed government hospital in Chander Nagar, Alambagh, has commenced free in-house hormone-related tests, including thyroid, diabetes, Vitamin D, and HbA1c, following the installation of a new machine on Tuesday.
End of Outsourcing Delays
Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr. Swatantra Prakash Singh stated that these tests were previously outsourced to Lokbandhu Hospital, which resulted in report delays of 2 to 3 days. With the new machine, patients can now receive their results more quickly and at no cost.
Benefits for Patients
The initiative aims to provide timely and accessible diagnostic services for common hormonal and metabolic conditions. The hospital expects to cater to a large number of patients who previously faced inconvenience due to outsourcing.
