Salem Corp Sets Up Water Stalls to Beat Summer Heat

The Salem Corporation has taken proactive measures to combat the intense summer heat by setting up dedicated stalls across the city. These stalls provide free drinking water and oral rehydration solution (ORS) to the public, aiming to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

Locations of Water Stalls

The water stalls have been strategically placed at several key locations to ensure maximum accessibility for residents. In the Suramangalam zone, stalls are located at Five Roads and Paul Market. In the Hastampatty zone, stalls are set up in front of Sundar Lodge and near the zonal office. The Ammapet zone features stalls near the Ammapet Roundabout and the police station. Additionally, in the Kondalampatty zone, stalls can be found at Seelanayakkanpatty Roundabout and Prabath Bus Stop.

Duration and Official Statement

Corporation Commissioner Dr. M. Elangovan announced that the water stalls will remain operational until the end of the summer season. He urged residents to utilize these facilities and stay hydrated during the hot months. The initiative reflects the corporation's commitment to public health and welfare.
