A devastating road accident claimed six lives and left at least eight people injured on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway near Navale Bridge on Thursday evening. The tragedy unfolded when a container truck lost control, triggering a chain reaction collision that involved multiple vehicles.

Chaotic Scene as Vehicles Catch Fire

According to officials, the out-of-control container truck smashed into several other vehicles, with two to three heavy vehicles subsequently bursting into flames. Disturbing videos from the accident site showed a passenger car completely crushed between two burning container trucks, highlighting the severity of the impact.

The injured victims were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. Pune police DCP Sambhaji Kadam confirmed that authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident while prioritizing immediate care for the wounded.
