As the addiction advances, individuals often lose self-control. "They express a desire to reduce their usage but find themselves unable to do so. Inability to post content can result in feelings of restlessness and anxiety," Professor Gupta added. "As the craving for likes intensifies, people may undertake greater risks to capture attention. Safety considerations often become secondary to the pursuit of online recognition," Dr. Tripathi further elaborated.
