Gorakhpur: To mark International Yoga Day, a week-long yoga camp and educational workshop will be organised at Gorakhnath Temple from June 15 to 21 under the joint aegis of the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Yoga Institute and Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad.
Focus on Yoga and Meditation
The camp will focus on yoga, pranayama, meditation and various aspects of yogic philosophy, with experts delivering lectures and practical training sessions. The inaugural session on June 15 will be chaired by Gorakhnath Temple chief priest Yogi Kamal Nath, while former vice chancellor Prof AK Singh will attend as the chief guest.
CM Yogi, who is also the Gorakshpeethadhishwar, is the chief patron of the event.
Promoting Holistic Well-being
Addressing the media, Yogi Kamal Nath said the camp aims to promote yoga as a holistic way of life that supports physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
Participants will engage in daily yoga practice, meditation sessions, yogic cleansing techniques and group discussions throughout the week. The programme will culminate on June 21 with a special International Yoga Day session and mass yoga practice.
Scientific and Spiritual Dimensions
Organisers said the initiative will help participants understand the scientific, therapeutic and spiritual dimensions of yoga while encouraging its integration into everyday life.
