The historic occasion saw Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami leading the tributes at Anandpur Sahib's prominent gurdwaras. The distinguished guests visited Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Takht Kesgarh Sahib, and Gurdwara Damdama Sahib to offer their obeisance.
While the official martyrdom observance is scheduled for November 25, Saturday's events set the tone for the upcoming commemorations. The ceremonies also honored the memory of Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, and Bhai Dyala, while simultaneously marking the 350th guruship day of Guru Gobind Singh.

At Gurdwara Guriaai Asthan Patshahi Dasvin, a Gurmat Samagam saw the conclusion of an Akhand Path Sahib, followed by soul-stirring Gurbani Kirtan performances by Raagi Jathas. The acting jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj, delivered a powerful address emphasizing that no religious leader in world history could be compared to Guru Tegh Bahadur. He recalled how the Guru sacrificed his life to protect sacred Hindu symbols and challenged Aurangzeb's tyrannical rule.
Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa, chief of Damdami Taksal, reinforced the message of religious preservation, noting how Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom saved Sanatan Dharma while establishing the enduring flag of the Khalsa Panth.
The commemorations also featured a spectacular light-and-sound show that visually narrated the Guru's sacrifice, creating an immersive experience for attendees.
