South Point School Guwahati recently organized its annual inter-school rock band and Mukoli Bihu competitions on the school premises. The events showcased the vibrant cultural and musical talents of students from various schools in the region.

Rock Band Competition Results

In the rock band competition, South Point School was adjudged the best band, demonstrating exceptional musical prowess. Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti School secured the second position, highlighting the competitive spirit among participants.

The competition was judged by a panel of esteemed musicians, including lead guitarist Jayanta Gogoi, bass guitarist Bulbul Das, and western vocalist Dipu Gohai. Their expertise ensured a fair and professional evaluation of the performances.

Mukoli Bihu Competition Highlights

The inter-school Mukoli Bihu competition featured traditional Assamese dance and music, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the state. St Francis De Sales was adjudged the Best Bihu troupe, while North East Public School earned the second-best position.

This competition was judged by renowned cultural experts, including dancer Nilakshi Buragohain and Bihu exponent Niranjan Goswami, who brought their deep knowledge of traditional arts to the judging process.
