Adding a touch of humour to the serious message of safety, the Delhi Police took to social media with a witty advisory against drunk driving, reminding people that "scoring zero in some tests is for the best."
In the southern metropolis of Bengaluru, the famous intersections of Mahatma Gandhi Road and Brigade Road were packed with enthusiastic crowds, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
The spiritual heart of Punjab, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, saw devotees and visitors gathering in large numbers to welcome 2026 with prayers and reverence.
