The Rango Ka Thela procession will commence at 9:45 AM from Rajjan Babu Park. Holi Schedule Adjustments Due to Lunar Eclipse
Addressing the media, Mool Chandra Seth, patron of the Kanpur Hatia Holi Mela Mahotsava Committee, announced that Holika Dahan will occur on the intervening night of March 2 and 3. However, due to a lunar eclipse on March 3, the playing of colors has been postponed. Instead, Holi will be celebrated on March 4, ensuring adherence to traditional astrological considerations.

Committee members, including president Gyanendra Bishnoi and general secretary Vinay Singh, explained that the Ganga Mela is traditionally observed about a week after Holi, coinciding with the Anuradha Nakshatra. The ceremony will begin with district authorities paying floral tributes at the revolutionaries' memorial inscription, honoring historical figures before the procession starts.
