In a vibrant display of festive spirit and communal harmony, the Kanpur Pastors Association organized a grand Christmas procession on Friday. The event, aimed at symbolizing unity and extending Christmas greetings to the city, saw enthusiastic participation from the local Christian community and was warmly received by residents.
A Journey of Joy Through Kanpur's Streets
The procession commenced at Tulsi Upvan Motijheel and embarked on a significant route across the city. The marchers and decorated vehicles passed through several key landmarks, including Benajhabar Chauraha, Harsh Nagar Chauraha, Eidgah, Bakarmandi Dhal, Chunniganj Chauraha, Lal Imli, Parade, and Bada Chauraha. The journey culminated at the Christ Church Inter College ground, where the final celebrations took place.
Festive Floats and Community Participation
The procession was a colorful spectacle, featuring vehicles adorned with balloons and flags, alongside beautifully crafted tableaux and floats. Adding to the charm, children dressed as angels and Santa Claus sang Christmas carols and danced along the route, spreading cheer. The procession was welcomed by people offering flowers at various points, highlighting the community's warm reception.
Key community figures joined in to support the event. At Benajhabar Chauraha, the procession was received by Pastor Rakesh Masih and his associates. Furthermore, at the Harsh Nagar crossing, social worker and chief of Bhartiya Dalit Panther Dhaniram Baudh, along with Sajid, welcomed the marchers, underscoring the cross-community support for the celebration.

Pastor Jitendra Singh, the General Secretary of the Kanpur Pastors Association, emphasized the core message behind the rally.
