Nagpur College Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram
In a stirring ceremony that echoed with patriotic fervor, students of Rajkumar Kewalramani College in Nagpur took a solemn oath of unity for 'Akhanda Bharat' during an event marking the 150th anniversary of India's national song 'Vande Mataram'. The program brought together college administration, faculty, and students in a powerful demonstration of national pride.
College Leadership Emphasizes Historical Significance
The event was chaired by college president Vijay Kewalramani and attended by distinguished guests including vice-president Neelam Ahuja, general secretary Kailash Kewalramani, in-charge principal Dr Anita Hemnani, treasurer Richa Kewalramani, along with Preeti Tibude and Reena Sapra.
Addressing the gathered audience, Vijay Kewalramani highlighted how 'Vande Mataram' united the entire nation during the critical years of the freedom struggle. He emphasized that the iconic song instilled deep love, pride, and self-confidence among Indians, inspiring them to overcome divisions of caste, religion, language, and social class to fight collectively for Independence.

The ceremony reached its emotional peak when Vijay Kewalramani administered a unity oath for Akhanda Bharat to the participating students, creating a powerful moment of national commitment.

Principal Dr Anita Hemnani reflected on the song's role in inspiring freedom fighters with courage, while treasurer Richa Kewalramani emphasized how it filled people with the power of unity that transcended all social barriers.
