Noida, Greater Noida Flower Shows Set for February

The Noida Floriculture Society and Noida Authority are preparing to host a vibrant four-day flower show at Shivalik Park. This colorful event will run from February 19th through February 22nd.

Greater Noida Follows with Its Own Floral Celebration

Right after Noida's event concludes, the Greater Noida Authority will launch its annual flower show. Their celebration is scheduled from February 26th to March 1st.

Calendula Theme Takes Center Stage in Greater Noida

This year, Greater Noida has chosen Calendula as its central theme. Authorities plan to decorate major roads and roundabouts extensively with these bright flowers. The goal is to significantly enhance the city's visual appeal during the event.

The Noida Flower Show promises to bring a spectacular burst of color and delightful fragrance to the city. Horticulture enthusiasts and local residents will gather to celebrate nature and the art of floriculture together.

A Showcase of Floral Diversity and Creativity

The annual event displays an impressive variety of seasonal flowers and ornamental plants. Gardeners, institutions, and resident welfare associations prepare creative floral arrangements for exhibition.

Visitors can expect more than just beautiful displays. The show will feature exciting competitions, themed exhibitions, and opportunities to interact with gardening experts. These activities aim to promote urban gardening and increase environmental awareness among citizens.

Encouraging Green Practices Through Popular Events

These flower shows consistently attract large crowds every year. They have become popular platforms that encourage green practices and improve the aesthetic appeal of both cities.

Preparations in Full Swing in Greater Noida

Sandeep Chandra, Principal General Manager of Greater Noida Authority, recently held an important meeting. He met with agencies responsible for maintaining green belts, central verges, and roundabouts.

Chandra instructed these agencies to plant Calendula saplings in all adopted areas. This includes roundabouts, green belts, and central verges. The timing ensures the flowers will bloom beautifully before the scheduled show at City Park.

Greater Noida has identified specific locations for floral decoration. The plan covers 40 roundabouts, 45 green belts, and 17 central verges. The horticulture department team will conduct regular monitoring to ensure proper implementation of these decorative efforts.

Community Participation Welcomed

Local residents and resident welfare associations have received special invitations. Authorities encourage them to participate actively in the events and associated competitions. This community involvement helps strengthen the connection between citizens and their urban environment.
