He highlighted the pleasant weather and the helpful nature of the local residents, assuring potential visitors of a safe experience. "The weather is very good. We are enjoying it a lot. The locals are very helpful. If you are coming here, it is very safe. There is no risk," Ali told ANI.
Thrill Beyond the Snow: Adventure Activities in Demand
The attraction for many extends beyond just witnessing the snowfall. A significant number of tourists are keen on engaging in various adventure sports that the region offers. Arshad, a first-time visitor from Delhi, shared his extensive plans which include traveling to Sissu and Koksar, and trying out activities like ziplining and ATV biking. He enthusiastically recommended Manali as the premier destination for a complete snowy experience. "If you want to see snowfall, you must come in December or January. I would like to give this message to the tourists, if you want to see snowfall, then there is no better place than Manali," Arshad stated.
Mixed Experiences but Unwavering Charm
While the snowfall has been a major draw, experiences vary. Mayank, a tourist from Pune, mentioned that the snowfall at Rohtang Pass was not as heavy as anticipated. Despite this, he cherished the overall experience and the beauty of Himachal Pradesh. "We thought we would get a lot of snowfall but we didn't. It's not very thick but it's a good experience. Tourism is good. I really loved Himachal," Mayank told ANI, adding that they planned to capture plenty of photos and videos as memories.
The fresh snowfall has undoubtedly given a significant boost to winter tourism in Kullu and Manali. The combination of natural beauty, a secure environment, and a wide array of adventure options continues to attract travelers seeking both tranquility and excitement during the chilly season.
