The suspects were allegedly attempting to smuggle a staggering 29.4 kilograms of gold, valued at approximately Rs 37.7 crore, from Nairobi into India.

Acting on precise intelligence inputs and advanced digital profiling techniques, DRI officials meticulously tracked the movements of the suspected smuggling group. Authorities positioned themselves strategically at Terminal 2, monitoring the arrival area for flight KQ 202 from Nairobi. Evasion Attempts and Passenger Detention
Around 11:00 AM, as passengers began approaching the green channel for customs clearance, the suspects noticed the presence of officials and attempted to disperse. Upon immediate questioning, 25 individuals identified themselves, while a 26th person had already been detained separately for attempting to use a counterfeit passport.
