Ashwin Mahesh Dalvi Gets Additional Charge of NZCC Director

Dalvi to Oversee Both WZCC and NZCC

The Ministry of Culture has assigned the additional responsibility of Director of the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) in Patiala to Ashwin Mahesh Dalvi, a senior figure in the arts and culture domain. Dalvi currently serves as the Director of the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) in Udaipur and will now manage the operations of both institutions simultaneously.

Recognition of Experience and Contribution

Widely recognized for his extensive experience in the field of art and culture, Dalvi's appointment is viewed as a strategic move to strengthen India's cultural ecosystem. Over the years, he has made notable contributions to the holistic growth of multiple cultural institutions, heritage preservation, and talent promotion. He also served as chairman of the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi during 2017–18.

Focus on Folk Art Preservation

Dalvi is expected to focus on revitalizing cultural activities aimed at strengthening folk art preservation initiatives. His dual role is anticipated to enhance collaboration between the northern and western cultural zones, promoting a more integrated approach to cultural development.
