Address to Bihar-Cadre Officers

On Thursday evening, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Bihar-cadre IAS and IPS officers in Delhi. Addressing the gathering, Choudhary underscored that Bihar’s progress is crucial for building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). He urged senior officers, policymakers, and stakeholders from diverse sectors to work collectively for Bihar’s “Navnirman” (reconstruction) and comprehensive transformation. He noted that while Bihar has achieved significant strides in infrastructure, electricity, connectivity, and rural development, continuous efforts are essential to give the state a new global identity.

“Bihar represents approximately 10% of the country’s population. The dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ cannot be fulfilled without Bihar’s rapid development,” Choudhary stated, calling on officers to act as a strong bridge between the central and state governments to accelerate development plans and attract investment.

Visible Changes and Tourism Push

The Chief Minister remarked that the transformations taking place in Bihar are now clearly visible, with improved infrastructure and connectivity offering visitors a tangible sense of development. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen the tourism sector and promote Bihar’s cultural and historical heritage.

NITI Aayog Member’s Perspective

At the event, NITI Aayog member Rajiv Gauba acknowledged Bihar’s “immense potential” but stressed the need to bridge the gap between potential and reality through effective policy and better implementation. Citing improvements in social indicators such as infant and maternal mortality rates, Gauba expressed confidence that Bihar is now ready to embark on a path of rapid development.
