Authorities are crafting an extensive and meticulous security grid to cover every aspect of President Putin's route and engagements within the national capital. While a detailed itinerary has been finalised, officials have chosen to withhold specific details, such as the exact location of his stay, citing stringent security requirements. The secrecy is part of a comprehensive strategy to ensure the visit proceeds without incident.
Police sources indicated that all agencies involved have been instructed to maintain continuous, round-the-clock surveillance throughout the duration of the visit. "From the moment of his arrival until his departure, every movement will be closely monitored by multiple security agencies. We are coordinating minute-to-minute movement details in real time," a source told PTI.
Multi-Agency Coordination and Traffic Management
Top-ranking officers of the Delhi Police will personally oversee the entire security apparatus. Their responsibilities will span from traffic management to the sanitisation of areas the Russian leader is expected to visit. According to the prepared route plan, all locations on the movement map will be secured and sanitised well in advance.
To manage public movement, advisories about traffic restrictions and diversions will be issued ahead of time to minimise inconvenience to daily commuters. Traffic diversions, restricted zones, and pedestrian limitations are anticipated around key areas in Central and New Delhi during the two-day period.

The security plan involves a formidable, multi-layered security ring combining the forces of the Delhi Police, central intelligence and security agencies, and Putin's own personal security detail. More than 50 personnel from Russia's advance security and protocol teams are expected to arrive in the capital shortly to conduct detailed inspections of all planned routes, potential stopovers, and venues.
Specialised units, including SWAT teams, anti-terror squads, and quick reaction teams, will be strategically stationed at points across the city. The security blanket will be bolstered by advanced technology, with drone monitoring, comprehensive CCTV surveillance, and technical intelligence systems deployed to ensure real-time situational awareness. "Nothing is being left to chance," a police officer stated on condition of anonymity.
