"We have seen on Aug 5 what violence, revenge and vindictiveness can result in, whether by an individual or by a political party," Rahman stated, alluding to past events.
He argued that a cycle of violence and counter-revenge inevitably leads to dangerous outcomes. For positive change to occur, Rahman emphasized that the democratic process must be upheld and accountability ensured at every level of governance.
