President Droupadi Murmu's Significant Two-Day Official Visit to Nagpur
President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a pivotal two-day official visit to Nagpur, Maharashtra, commencing on April 15. This visit underscores her engagement with key academic, administrative, and cultural institutions in the region, highlighting her role in national development and governance.
Day One: Academic Excellence and Administrative Milestones
On the first day of her visit, April 15, President Murmu will participate in two major events that reflect her commitment to education and public service. The day begins with her role as the chief guest at the second convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur. This prestigious event is scheduled for 11 am at the institute's main auditorium, where she will address graduating medical professionals, emphasizing the importance of healthcare and innovation in India's growth trajectory.
Dignitaries in attendance at the AIIMS convocation include Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Minister of State for Health Prataprao Jadhav, among other notable figures. Their presence underscores the collaborative efforts between state and central governments in advancing medical education and infrastructure.
Later in the evening, President Murmu will attend the valedictory function of the 78th batch of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT).
