This year's celebration carried added significance as it coincided with the 77th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and India. A Night of Cultural Harmony and Artistic Showcase

The evening's formal proceedings began on a melodious note with the stirring performance of the Romanian National Anthem by Iulia Vântur, the celebrated Romanian artist with a notable career spanning Bollywood and international music scenes. Vântur further enchanted the guests with a selection of pieces from her global repertoire.

In a beautiful gesture of reciprocity, the Indian National Anthem was rendered by Srijan Arora, a young and innovative Indian talent renowned for his fusion of classical Indian music with modern technology. The cultural dialogue continued with a dynamic and colourful performance by the Transilvania Folkloric Ensemble of Baia Mare, which vividly presented Romania's rich and lively folk dance traditions to the captivated audience.

Adding an architectural dimension to the cultural exchange, an exhibition curated by Architect Rajendra Kumar was displayed, symbolising the shared artistic sensibilities and cultural links that bind the two countries. The ceremony was seamlessly anchored by the internationally recognised Indian filmmaker and philanthropist, Dr Sanjaanaa Jon.
