In a significant development for electoral transparency in Jharkhand, Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar announced on Sunday that the state has successfully mapped 72 per cent of voters with the 2003 electoral rolls during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Kumar emphasized that the pre-revision period is currently in progress, with mapping work being efficiently conducted through the Booth Level Officer (BLO) application. This digital approach has streamlined the verification process, allowing for faster and more precise updates to the voter list. The CEO further urged all eligible electors to actively participate in this initiative, highlighting that building a comprehensive and error-free voter list is essential for strengthening democracy at the grassroots level.
