PM Modi Predicts BJP Win in West Bengal, Highlights Public Mood

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to win the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, citing the prevailing public mood in the state. Speaking at a rally, he said, 'The mood of West Bengal suggests that the BJP will win the polls, and I will return during the oath-taking ceremony.'

PM Modi's Confidence in BJP's Victory

Modi's remarks come as the election campaign in West Bengal gains momentum, with the BJP making a strong push to unseat the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). The Prime Minister emphasized the growing support for the BJP across the state, particularly among women and youth. He said, 'The people of West Bengal have made up their minds. They want a government that ensures development, security, and dignity.'

Focus on Development and Governance

During his address, Modi highlighted the central government's various welfare schemes and accused the TMC government of corruption and mismanagement. He said, 'West Bengal has suffered under the current regime. It is time for a change. The BJP will bring good governance and end the culture of violence and appeasement.'

The Prime Minister also took a dig at the opposition, stating that they are 'scared' of the BJP's rising popularity. 'They know their time is up. The people have realized the truth and are ready to vote for progress,' he added.

BJP's Campaign Strategy in West Bengal

The BJP has been aggressively campaigning in West Bengal, with top leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J.P. Nadda holding multiple rallies. The party is focusing on issues such as corruption, law and order, and the alleged appeasement of minorities by the TMC government.

Modi's prediction of a BJP win has energized party workers, who believe that the party's grassroots efforts and the Prime Minister's popularity will translate into a victory. The election in West Bengal is scheduled to be held in eight phases, with results expected in May.

Reactions from Political Opponents

The TMC, however, dismissed Modi's claims as 'wishful thinking' and said that the people of West Bengal will reject the BJP. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, 'The Prime Minister is living in a bubble. The people of West Bengal are with Mamata Banerjee, and they will vote for development and secularism.'

Political analysts are divided on the outcome, with some predicting a close contest. However, Modi's confident statement has added a new dimension to the campaign, with the BJP now aiming to convert the Prime Minister's prediction into reality.
