Deputy Commissioner Felicitates Five BLOs for Early Completion
Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Akash Bansal on Thursday honoured five Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for achieving 100 per cent digitisation of Enumeration Forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The completion came well ahead of the stipulated deadline of July 24.
The DC felicitated Manjeet Singh (Booth No. 17), Gurdayal Singh (Booth No. 104), Arundeep Singh (Booth No. 138), Yadwinder Singh (Booth No. 140) and Vishav Deepak Kalia (Booth No. 161) for their outstanding performance and dedication to ensuring the timely completion of the digitisation process.
BLOs Urged to Expedite Remaining Work
Congratulating the BLOs, Deputy Commissioner Akash Bansal said their commitment and efficiency had set an example for other Booth Level Officers working in the district. He urged other BLOs to expedite the digitisation of the remaining enumeration forms so that the district could achieve 100 per cent completion well before the prescribed deadline. He emphasised that the accurate and timely preparation of electoral rolls is essential for conducting free, fair and transparent elections.
Progress and Monitoring of Digitisation
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that 791 Booth Level Officers have been deployed across the district to carry out the Special Intensive Revision exercise. He informed that 100 per cent of the enumeration forms had already been distributed, while 229,803 forms had been digitised at the time of issuing this note. The digitisation work is progressing at a rapid pace under the continuous monitoring of the district administration.
To ensure complete transparency and active stakeholder participation, he stated that the district administration has been holding regular review meetings with representatives of recognised political parties and election officials.
