ABVP Seeks Better Facilities for Sirsa University Students

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Saturday submitted a memorandum to Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) Vice-Chancellor Vijay Kumar in Sirsa, urging the institution to address key student issues and improve campus infrastructure. The student organisation raised concerns about the reported shutdown of the university's Law Department and demanded that regular LLM classes and other academic activities of the department continue as usual.

Demands for Infrastructure Improvements

ABVP also sought widening of the hostel approach road to ensure safer and smoother movement for students. The memorandum urged the university to repair non-functional water coolers across the campus and install new ones wherever required. Additionally, the charter demanded immediate repair and regular maintenance of hostel toilets to ensure proper hygiene.

Sports Ground Beautification and Equipment

The student body called for the beautification of the university sports ground and for all essential sports equipment to be made available at the facility. The demands were presented to the Vice-Chancellor during the meeting on July 5, 2026.
