AMC Demolishes Illegal Structures in Vatva, Lambha

The estate department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's South Zone successfully carried out a demolition drive on Friday, targeting illegal industrial construction in the Vatva (North) Ward. A total of 1,120 square feet of unauthorized industrial structure at Raghuveer Estate (Final Plot 27, TP Scheme 87) was razed after the expiration of an official advance notice served to the violators.

Anti-Encroachment Drive in Lambha Ward

Simultaneously, extensive anti-encroachment operations were conducted in the neighboring Lambha Ward. Civic authorities abruptly removed 98 temporary and permanent commercial and residential sheds that had been illegally occupying public space near the Baliya Dev Temple. These encroachments were cleared to reclaim public land for community use.

Clearing Roads and Public Plots

To effectively implement the corporation's official town planning mandates, enforcement teams completely cleared 12-metre-wide roads near the Sardar Patel Ring Road under TP Scheme No. 128. During this coordinated field operation, civic authorities also cleared two public-purpose plots of all obstructions. This action has reclaimed valuable government land for future municipal development projects within the expanding city limits.
