The entire transformation initiative was implemented with crucial Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support from technology giant Intel. During the inauguration ceremony, Lokhande highlighted the project's importance, stating, "The space below the flyover was previously overwhelmed with silt, debris, and various encroachments. Through strategic CSR collaboration, we have comprehensively cleared the entire stretch, removed unauthorized vendors, and systematically developed it into a clean, green, and fully usable public space."
He further emphasized that this project represents a core component of the city corporation's broader mission to create more people-friendly and sustainable urban environments throughout Bengaluru.
Comprehensive Development and Community Focus
Following the initial cleanup, the project involved extensive landscaping and plantation work to significantly enhance the area's aesthetics and environmental value. A particularly noteworthy aspect of this initiative was the installation of specialized 'suvidha' cabins specifically designed for pourakarmikas—the sanitation workers responsible for maintaining the area.
