In a decisive move to guarantee seamless LPG cylinder distribution across the district, Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanai Sultania and Superintendent of Police Raj conducted thorough inspections of multiple gas agencies in Ara on Thursday. District Magistrate Issues Directives for Uninterrupted Supply
During the inspections, DM Tanai Sultania issued clear instructions to all agency operators, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining an uninterrupted, smooth, and transparent supply chain for LPG consumers. "Any complaint regarding delays or irregularities must be addressed promptly to ensure the public does not face any inconvenience," the DM directed. He further appealed directly to LPG consumers, reassuring them that all gas agencies within Bhojpur district currently possess adequate LPG stock.
"There is absolutely no need for panic or unnecessary advance bookings. Consumers are urged to follow normal booking procedures to ensure gas distribution remains timely and equitable for every household across the district," the district magistrate stated, aiming to prevent hoarding and ensure fair access.
Crackdown on Illegal Activities in Jagdishpur Sub-Division
Simultaneously, in a parallel enforcement action within the Jagdishpur sub-division of Bhojpur district, authorities sealed four commercial establishments on Thursday. These shops were charged with engaging in black marketing and the illegal hoarding of LPG cylinders, practices that disrupt supply and inflate prices.
According to an official press release issued by the Bhojpur District Magistrate's office on Thursday evening, the action was initiated based on specific intelligence. "Acting on a credible tip-off, a detailed inspection was carried out by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) targeting several hotels, restaurants, and shops in Bihiya, Jagdishpur, and adjoining areas," the release detailed.
The administration has signaled a sustained effort, noting that "these raids will continue in the future as part of a broader initiative to curb all forms of irregularities in LPG distribution within the district."
