Buxar District Magistrate Issues Strict Directives for Festival Season and Administrative Efficiency
In a decisive move to maintain public order and streamline administrative processes, Buxar District Magistrate Sahila has issued a series of critical directives to officials across the district. The DM's orders target both immediate festival-related concerns and long-pending bureaucratic delays, signaling a proactive approach to governance.
Complete Ban on DJ Music During Religious Festivals
District Magistrate Sahila has mandated a complete prohibition on DJ music during the upcoming Mahaveeri Puja and Ramnavami celebrations. This directive was specifically communicated to the Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) of both Buxar and Dumraon subdivisions, emphasizing the need for strict enforcement to prevent noise pollution and potential disturbances during these significant religious observances.
Furthermore, the DM has instructed the initiation of bond proceedings against anti-social elements who might attempt to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the festivals. This measure aims to deter any unlawful activities and ensure that the celebrations proceed smoothly without incidents of public nuisance or conflict.
Accelerated Disposal of Pending Revenue Applications
Shifting focus to administrative backlog, DM Sahila has directed officials to expedite the disposal of all pending applications under the 'Revenue Maha Abhiyan' campaign. This initiative is designed to clear long-standing cases that have accumulated in the revenue department, thereby improving service delivery to citizens and reducing bureaucratic red tape.
The DM expressed particular concern over the accuracy of fact sheets submitted in court matters, ordering strict verification protocols to be implemented immediately. This step is intended to enhance the reliability of official documents and prevent legal complications arising from erroneous or incomplete information.
Enhanced Focus on Public Grievance Redressal and Scheme Implementation
In her comprehensive review, DM Sahila emphasized the importance of prompt and effective redressal of public complaints. She instructed all concerned officials to prioritize citizen grievances, ensuring timely responses and resolutions to foster greater public trust in the administration.
Additionally, the DM has sought detailed explanations from officials regarding two specific areas of concern:
- Pending verifications under the PM Awas Yojana: Officials have been asked to account for delays in processing applications for this flagship housing scheme, which aims to provide affordable housing to eligible beneficiaries.
- Poor progress in geo-tagging initiatives in certain blocks: The DM highlighted inadequate advancements in geo-tagging efforts, a crucial component for monitoring and verifying various development projects and schemes at the grassroots level.
These directives collectively underscore a robust administrative push to combine festival management with broader governance reforms, addressing both immediate public order issues and systemic administrative challenges in Buxar district.
