Bylaw Drafting Begins for Puttur Medical College

The Karnataka government has initiated the process of drafting bylaws for the proposed government medical college in Puttur, located in Bannur village. A director from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee the project.

Committee Formation and Responsibilities

A committee has been constituted to draft the bylaws. Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai stated that the panel includes the Minister for Medical Education, the Principal Secretary, and senior officials from the Finance, Planning, and Public Works departments. This committee is scheduled to meet in Bengaluru within a few days.

Rai explained, "The committee will discuss creating a separate bylaw for the medical college. It will also finalize the name of the medical college and make other technical decisions. All aspects related to the construction of the medical college hospital and the medical college will be included in the bylaws. This encompasses planning, implementation, financial matters, management, and other related affairs."
