CESC Chairman Calls for Honest Service from Newly Recruited Junior Powermen

In a significant address to newly appointed junior powermen, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) chairman Ramesh Bandisiddegowda emphasized the importance of honest and efficient work to deliver optimal services to the public. The event took place at the CESC headquarters in Vijayanagar, Mysuru, where recruitment letters were distributed and counselling sessions were conducted for the fresh recruits.

Transparent Recruitment and Merit-Based Selection

Bandisiddegowda highlighted that the government had recruited these powermen through a fully transparent process, involving all necessary tests such as physical and endurance assessments, strictly on merit. "As earning a government job is not easy nowadays," he remarked, urging the new staff to seize this opportunity and provide their best to consumers without leaving room for complaints.

He further instructed CESC employees to address complaints from the public and farmers promptly and without causing any harassment, underscoring the corporation's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Safety Precautions and Professional Guidance

Acknowledging the inherent risks associated with their roles, the chairman advised the junior powermen to take all necessary precautions to ensure both their own safety and that of the public. He also encouraged them to seek clarification from senior officers during their training period to enhance their skills and understanding of the job.

Warning Against Middlemen and Recruitment Details

CESC managing director KM Munigopala Raju echoed these sentiments, cautioning job aspirants against falling prey to middlemen's inducements. He revealed that the government had recruited over 3,000 junior powermen based on merit with complete transparency, reinforcing the integrity of the selection process.

The event was attended by key officials including CESC chief finance officer B Renuka and senior officers BR Lingarajamma and BR Roopa, marking a collaborative effort to onboard and guide the new recruits towards effective service delivery.
