Navi Mumbai: The Cidco emergency operations centre is scheduled to become operational from June 1 and will function round the clock until September 30. Its primary purpose is to register and address monsoon-related grievances within areas under Cidco’s jurisdiction.

Preparedness Review by Chief Vigilance Officer

Suresh Mengade, Cidco’s chief vigilance officer, conducted a review of the readiness and overall activities being carried out through this centre. He instructed all nodal officers to ensure timely and speedy resolution of citizens’ complaints.

Operational Details of the Centre

The centre is located on the ground floor of Cidco Bhavan in CBD Belapur. It will remain functional on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, in addition to regular working days.

Through this centre, employees from engineering, health, fire brigade, security, garden, and other departments will stay in contact during emergency situations. Issues to be addressed include falling trees, pruning of branches that obstruct vehicular movement, fixing lids of open drains on roads, floods, and other flood-related scenarios.
