Darbhanga Divisional Commissioner Himanshu Kumar Roy on Monday reviewed the functioning of Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) during a meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti. He directed the authorities to ensure that the hospital becomes fully operational with all eight departments starting July 1, by providing adequate doctors, paramedics, equipment, and other necessary resources.
Key Directives Issued
Roy also ordered round-the-clock operation of the trauma centre, installation of CCTV cameras, improved lighting, clean toilets, and regular sanitation across the hospital premises. These measures aim to enhance patient care and infrastructure at the facility.
Focus on Medicine Availability
District Magistrate Kaushal Kumar emphasized the need to ensure the availability of medicines within the hospital to prevent patients from having to purchase them from outside sources. This step is intended to reduce the financial burden on patients and their families.
