ECR General Manager Conducts Thorough Railway Inspection
Chhatrasal Singh, the General Manager of East Central Railway (ECR), personally conducted an extensive window-trailing inspection on Thursday. He traveled along the entire Patna–Fatuha–Biharsharif–Barbigha–Sheikhpura–Lakhisarai–Jhajha route. This important railway section falls under the jurisdiction of the Danapur division.
Focus on Safety and Infrastructure
During his day-long inspection, GM Singh carefully examined multiple critical aspects of railway operations. He reviewed the fitness of the tracks, the functionality of signaling systems, and the condition of rail bridges. The inspection placed special emphasis on overall operational safety across the entire section.
Saraswati Chandra, ECR's Chief Public Relations Officer, stated that the GM focused heavily on infrastructure maintenance. He checked adherence to established safety standards. The primary goal was to ensure smooth and secure train operations for all passengers.
Station Redevelopment Under Scrutiny
A significant part of the inspection involved the ongoing redevelopment work at Lakhisarai station. This work is being carried out under the central government's Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). Railway officials from the Danapur division provided the GM with detailed briefings.
They explained the current progress on various passenger amenities. The officials also discussed improvements to the station layout and broader modernization efforts. All these initiatives aim to significantly enhance the travel experience for railway users.
Senior Officials Accompany the Inspection
Vinod Kumar, the Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur, accompanied General Manager Singh throughout the inspection. Several other senior officials from the division also joined the team. Together, they assessed field-level conditions firsthand.
The inspection team actively interacted with on-ground staff during their visit. They held discussions about practical measures to further improve both efficiency and safety on this busy route. The CPRO noted that such regular inspections serve a vital purpose.
They help railway authorities identify areas that require immediate attention. These inspections play a key role in strengthening overall infrastructure and boosting service quality across the entire railway division. The proactive approach aims to prevent issues before they affect passenger services.
