Haryana Government Greenlights Critical Infrastructure Projects
In a significant move to bolster the state's industrial and energy sectors, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presided over a crucial high-powered purchase committee meeting on Monday. The session, held in Chandigarh, saw the approval of several key proposals aimed at enhancing power reliability and accelerating industrial development.
Power Infrastructure Enhancement Approved
One of the major decisions taken during the meeting was the approval for procuring SF6 gas circuit breakers specifically for 220 kV transformers operated by the Haryana Power Distribution Corporation. This strategic procurement involves acquiring forty-one gas circuit breakers at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 918.4 lakh.
The primary objective of this investment is to ensure an uninterrupted and stable power supply during emergencies and peak demand periods. These advanced circuit breakers are essential components in the state's electrical grid, designed to protect transformers and prevent widespread outages by quickly isolating faults.
Hisar Manufacturing Cluster Gets Program Manager
In parallel with power infrastructure improvements, the committee granted approval for appointing a consultant to serve as program manager for developing infrastructure in the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster at Hisar, along with other new city projects. This marks a pivotal step forward for the proposed manufacturing hub in Hisar, with work now set to commence following this decision.
An official spokesperson confirmed that the public is expected to benefit from this development in the near future, as the manufacturing cluster is projected to boost local employment, attract industrial investment, and stimulate regional economic growth.
Three-Year Monitoring Framework Established
The state government has sanctioned the consultant's appointment for a period of three years, ensuring continuous monitoring and professional oversight of these critical infrastructure hubs throughout their development phases. This structured approach aims to maintain project momentum, adhere to timelines, and deliver tangible results for Haryana's industrial landscape.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel was also present during the high-level meeting, underscoring the cross-departmental importance of these infrastructure initiatives.
