Haryana CM Emphasizes Water Supply Adequacy

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday directed officials to ensure an adequate and uninterrupted supply of water across the state. Chairing a high-level meeting to review the water situation, Saini stressed the importance of efficient water management and distribution to meet the demands of both urban and rural areas.

Key Directives Issued

The Chief Minister instructed the Public Health Engineering Department and other concerned agencies to maintain a regular supply of clean drinking water. He also emphasized the need for timely maintenance of water infrastructure, including pipelines, tubewells, and treatment plants. Saini called for a robust monitoring system to prevent wastage and ensure equitable distribution.

Officials were asked to prepare a comprehensive action plan to address water scarcity in drought-prone regions. The CM underscored the use of technology to track water levels and optimize supply. He also urged citizens to conserve water and report any leakages or issues promptly.

Saini highlighted the importance of rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge projects to augment water resources. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Chief Minister's Office, Public Health Engineering, and other related departments. They assured the CM of full compliance with the directives and presented a status report on current water availability and future requirements.
